The most important part
Betawise is an educational tool. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it never recommends insulin or medication doses. Always make decisions about your treatment with your healthcare team. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
1. Using Betawise
By using Betawise you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, use Betawise with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.
2. What Betawise does, and doesn't do
- Betawise calculates standard CGM metrics and looks for patterns in data you provide. Results depend on that data being complete and accurate, and can be wrong.
- Betawise reviews past data. It does not monitor your glucose in real time and cannot warn you about a low or high as it happens. Keep using your CGM's own alerts.
- The AI coach generates text automatically. It can be mistaken or incomplete, and it is not a doctor, nurse or diabetes educator. Don't rely on it for medical decisions.
- Sample members shown in the app use simulated data, not real people.
3. Your data
Your data belongs to you. Betawise stores your readings in your own browser, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for exporting a backup if you want one; clearing your browser deletes your data.
4. Connected services
If you connect a third-party service such as Dexcom, your use of that service is governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and access may change if they change their programs.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Betawise. For example, don't try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to it; don't use the AI coach for purposes unrelated to managing your own diabetes; don't scrape or resell the service; and don't use it to violate anyone's rights or the law.
6. Our content
Betawise, including its software, design and content, is owned by us and protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms.
7. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or stop any part of Betawise, and we may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use Betawise means you accept the updated terms.
8. Disclaimers
Betawise is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy, to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on Betawise. Our total liability for any claim relating to Betawise is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
